Which one should you install?
Choose MozBar when your existing prospecting sheet or client report specifically uses Moz DA/PA. Keeping the same metric source avoids a misleading before-and-after comparison.
Choose SEOquake when your job is a free Chrome page audit, keyword density or supported SERP context. Check its current listing: version changes can move or rename reports.
Choose neither as a full suite replacement when you need tracked ranking history, automated site crawls or multi-client reporting. That requires a different product decision.
Run a ten-minute comparison
- Open the same public page in a clean browser profile.
- Inspect its title, headings and canonical in each tool.
- Choose one external link and verify the reported destination.
- Run a representative search and check the overlay or report you rely on.
- Record whether the desired metric needs a login or paid plan.
Keep the extension that makes the repeated task easier. A missing metric is not automatically a fault: it may belong to a different access tier.
Avoid the metric trap
Moz DA, Moz PA and Semrush Authority Score are not interchangeable values, and none is an official Google score. Save the tool name and check date beside the number. A change of data provider can change the score without anything changing on the website.

Does SEOquake show the same Domain Authority as MozBar?
Its Semrush metrics use a different source. Do not label a Semrush score as Moz DA or compare the values as an identical scale.
